Meet your lucky charm.
Heather Builds What Others Only Imagine.
Hi, I’m Heather. I’m so glad you found your way here.
Ever since I was little, I’ve always been creating something—art, clothes, ideas, or little projects. That curiosity naturally grew into a career centered around branding, storytelling, and helping businesses come to life.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising from Louisiana State University, where I also worked in retail and learned firsthand how brands truly connect with their customers. During that time, I had the opportunity to study at the American University of Paris, focusing on global fashion systems and fashion curation.
I later earned my MBA from Louisiana Tech University, where I also stepped into the role of COO for a growing fashion brand. It was there that I developed my skills in leadership, strategy, and execution—seeing what it really takes to build something from the ground up.
But along the way, I started to notice something.
After working on and observing so many marketing campaigns, I realized how often they all began to look the same—beautiful, but missing something. The heart of the business, the story behind it, and the voice of the founder were getting lost in the noise.
I knew there had to be a more meaningful way to do it.
Everything truly shifted at a clothing market, where I met designer Shaune Cathcart. We spent a long time talking about my dreams, my work, and what I wanted to build. After looking through everything I had created, she saw something in me that I had always felt—but hadn’t fully stepped into yet.
She told me it was time to take the leap and build something of my own, just as she had done.
And that moment stayed with me.
With her encouragement, along with the support of my family and friends, I decided to go for it. Shaune became my very first client—and Lucky You Marketing was born.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with businesses across a range of industries, helping them refine their vision and elevate their brand presence. I’ve also worked alongside clients whose work has been featured in outlets such as Inside Edition, TODAY, FOX & Friends, The New York Post, House Beautiful, People, and Business Insider.
My mission is simple: to build brands with depth and clarity while telling meaningful stories that reflect the heart behind each business.
Because when you take the time to truly understand a business, the story has a way of speaking for itself.
That’s what Lucky You Marketing is built on.
And I’d love to help tell your story next.
My inspiration
The inspiration behind my business — and my life — is my grandmother, Suellen.
She was my best friend, my rock, and my forever partner in every game. We spent countless nights playing cards, building puzzles, and finding joy wherever we were. She taught me that luck isn’t something you wait for — it’s something you create.
The name Lucky You was born from those memories. She was my lucky charm in life, and I carry her with me in everything I build. Her warmth, resilience, and joy shine through my business and my heart every single day.
